I’m Deadra, a photographer based in KY. While I call the Bluegrass State home, my work has taken me from the vibrant streets of Miami to the stunning landscapes of Oregon. These experiences have helped shape my unique style and approach, bringing a diverse range of perspectives to every session.

Hi there! I'm Deadra (pronounced Dee-druh), a photographer based in Owensboro, Kentucky. I'm a proud wife to my best friend, Zakk, and mama to our five beautiful children. Our home is full of joy, chaos, laughter, and unforgettable moments, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I was the kid who always had a camera in hand, capturing the little moments that meant the most long before our phones did all the work. I studied photography in school, but it wasn't until 2021, after spending more than a decade as a stay-at-home mom, that I finally took the leap and turned that passion into my full-time career.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. Between our kids' activities and everyday adventures, life stays busy, and that's one reason I understand how quickly these seasons of life pass by. Preserving those memories for other families is something I truly cherish.
Zakk and I have been together for 16 years and share a love for live music, the outdoors, backpacking, and exploring new places. We're currently working toward visiting all 50 states together and have checked 31 off the list so far. Throughout this journey, he has been my biggest supporter and encourager.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll most likely find me outside doing yardwork (my favorite way to unwind) or tending to my ever-growing collection of houseplants. I love all things vintage and can happily spend hours wandering through thrift stores and antique shops in search of hidden treasures. I was meant to live in the '90s forever, and I'm always chasing a little bit of that nostalgia in everyday life. Give me anything retro, anything yellow, and a good treasure hunt, and I'm in.
I'm also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, and there's nothing quite like a summer evening spent watching baseball. When it's finally time to slow down, you'll usually find me rewatching The Office, getting lost in the world of Harry Potter, or settling in for an episode of Criminal Minds.
